Analytics and Tracking

Previously, our App did not collect analytics. Starting with the next version, we now use limited analytics and crash reporting services to help us improve the App.

• Analytics (optional): We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the App is used (for example, which features are most popular). This helps us understand what to improve. Analytics data does not include personally identifiable information.
• Crash Reporting (automatic): We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect technical details if the App crashes (such as device type, operating system version, and crash logs). This data is used only to diagnose and fix problems.

You can manage your consent for Analytics in the App's settings at any time. Crash reporting runs automatically, but it only processes technical, non-personal data.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect, store, or share any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
• We do not share any user information with third parties beyond the analytics services mentioned above.

How the App Works

The App is designed to function primarily on your device. Your location data and compass functionality remain completely local to your device and are never transmitted or stored by us. The only data transmitted is optional anonymous analytics and automatic crash reports as described in the Analytics and Tracking section above.

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

We are committed to protecting children's privacy. Our App is designed to be safe for children and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

For children under 13:

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• Analytics data collected is anonymous and aggregated only
• Crash reports contain only technical device information, no personal data
• We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to provide personal information
• Parents can contact us to review, delete, or stop further collection of their child's information

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

Data Retention

• Analytics data: Anonymous, aggregated analytics data is retained by Firebase according to their standard data retention policies (typically 14 months for user-level data)
• Crash data: Crash reports are retained for troubleshooting purposes and automatically deleted after issue resolution, typically within 90 days
• Device data: No persistent identifiers are stored that can identify individual users or devices
• Data deletion: You can request deletion of any data associated with your device by contacting us

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Opt out: Disable analytics collection at any time through the App's settings
• Access: Request information about what data we collect (though it is anonymous and non-personal)
• Delete: Request deletion of any data associated with your device
• Contact: Reach out to us with any privacy concerns or questions
• Parental control: Parents can contact us regarding their child's data

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
